Wedding Videographer Roscommon-Kilronan Castle.

Claire and David’s wedding video in Roscommon was fantastic from start to finish. Claire lives in a very beautiful part of Roscommon called Arigna. It’s very well known for its coal mines and in recent years has become very popular for visitors and it’s now possible to have a tour via the visitors centre.

I arrived to Claire’s house early in the morning where the hair and makeups were well under way with Gráinne from Enhance hair and beauty. Ive met Gráinne at lots of weddings so i knew timing wasn’t going to be an issue and everything would run smoothly. The weather was on our side thanks to a variety of ‘Child of Prague’s’ in the garden, I think I counted five so it was never going to rain!  I was working along side Steve Rogers photography who I work with regularly, we both have a similar relaxed style which always helps the day run that little bit more naturally. After a nice and relaxed morning with the girls we meet the lads at Arigna church in the parish of Kilronan to capture them arriving in style thanks to Patrick Bourke’s menswear in Ennis. Arigna Church in Roscommon is situated in the most fantastic location with a big mountain backdrop. Claire arrived shortly after wards in a stunning vintage car supplied by Pat Smyth wedding cars. We had a very small hiccup just before the ceremony where there was a power cut in the area but the fantastic Olivia O Hanlon music sang a cappella where it added just that little bit more of a wow factor to Claire’s entrance. I’ve featured this in one of my real wedding moment blogs where you can read all about it and there is also a short video of Olivia’s performance.

After this we made our way to Arigna coal mines, I never thought i’d be shooting a bride and Groom in a coal mine so this was a first. There is some fantastic views from the visitor centre and we got some really stunning images.

Next it was onto a little village in Roscommon called keadew where we had a short stop to capture some real wedding moments in front of Keadew lake, a popular stop off point for Brides and Grooms getting married in Roscommon. After some fun shooting the newly weds Claire and David had a short drive to the fantastic kilronan Castle. I’ve been a wedding videographer in Roscommon now for a good few years and Kilronan is always my favourite place to work. Kilronan Castle is one of my preferred wedding castles to capture a wedding video and it’s everything you could ever want from the perspective of a wedding videographer and wedding photographers.

A fantastic day and one to remember.

Venue- Kilronan Castle is one of my favourite venues in Ireland to shoot a wedding. Its got everything you could want from a wedding photographer and wedding videographers perspective. Its a real Castle and is one of the most friendly places you could have your wedding. I always think it says a lot for a venue when they treat the wedding suppliers as good as the guests.
