Wedding Video Castle Dargan Sligo

Wedding Video Castle Dargan Sligo.
Wedding teaser-Joe and Aine.
St Joseph,s Church Boyle, Co Roscommon and Castle Dargan Hotel Sligo.
I’ve had a great start to 2017 having shot lots of weddings in the sun. The weather is the only thing that can’t be planned so it’s always great when the sun shines.
Aine and Joe,s wedding in Sligo and Roscommon was no different. We got a beautiful sunny day from start to finish.
I arrived to Aine’s early on Friday morning to capture the morning bridal preparations and the usual busy hustle and bustle. The morning preparations are my favourite part of the day to Video and Photograph. There’s always that great pre wedding buzz and excitement with lots of laughter around family and friends.
After a fun and relaxed morning with Aine and the girls it was time to move on to St. Joseph’s Church in Boyle Co. Roscommon. Here we met Joe and the lads for some establishing shots. One of the first images I capture when I arrive to the church is the Lads arriving. Usually this consists of a nice smooth steadicam shot of the Groom and Groomsmen walking into the churchyard, Joe and the lads pulled this off in style!
Aine and Joe’s ceremony had a nice and relaxed tempo with some beautiful music during the mass. After the wedding the sun was shining and the courtyard was full with guests providing me with the opportunity to capture some candid shots of family and friends coming together and catching up. There were lots of smiles and laughter which is always great to capture.
For Aine and Joe,s Video-shoot/Photo-shoot we were in for a real treat with Derreen Woods just a few miles down the road. This time of year Derreen Woods is full of blue bells and makes for a fantastic backdrop. Blue bells don’t hang around long so there’s really only a small two week window when they are in full bloom. This is usually around the end of April or early May.
We also had a quick stop off in Lough Meelagh near Keadew, this is a familiar stopping point for me when shooting weddings. Before Aine and Joe arrived I had a minute to capture the beautiful ambience and peaceful sounds of the lake that I’ve used in the closing sequence of this wedding teaser. Audio is just as important to me as video so sometimes simple things such as a bit of ambience can make all the difference.
When we arrived to Castle Dargan we got some fantastic bridal party portraits and some relaxed fun shots around the grounds. Castle Dargan is a very regular venue for me to video and photograph weddings. I was working along side Gary Barrett a photographer I work with regularly who has a similar candid relaxed style as ours which always helps the day unfold more naturally. Castle Dargan is one of my favourite venues in Sligo with fantastic grounds for wedding photography and wedding videos.
