Laura and Liam’s wedding took place in the stunning Lodge at Ashford in Cong Co. Mayo. Cong is a very unique little village straddling the borders of Co. Mayo and Co. Galway. The lodge is one of Ireland’s best wedding destinations and is my favourite Venue in Mayo to shoot a wedding. The Lodge’s country house sits on the 350-acre estate of Ashford Castle and over looks the beautiful Lough Corrib.

I arrived at the Lodge early on the morning of Laura and Liam’s wedding when the morning preparations were in full swing. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and everything went off without a hitch. There were lots of memorable moments captured for the wedding video.

After visiting Laura and the Girls it was time to meet Liam and the Lads over at St. Mary’s in Cong where the wedding ceremony was taking place. St. Marys is a small modern chapel and is situated beside Cong Abbey offering a diverse mix of the old with the new.

Laura and Liam’s wedding ceremony again was very relaxed and was made that little bit more special with singer Sinead Conway providing the music.

As a Wedding Videographer and Photographer Cong is one of my favourite photo-shoot locations. The little monks fishing house at the back of St. Marys on Cong river never disappoints and provides the most stunning back drop for wedding photographs.
