Edel & Craig’s New Year’s Eve Wedding
I think New Year’s Eve is one of the most special nights of the year to get married.
Waking up on the 1st of January starting a brand new chapter of your life with your newly wedded husband!
The best was definitely saved for last in 2017 when it came to shooting Edel & Craig’s big day on New Year’s Eve.
We arrived at Craig’s house first to document the morning where we were greeted by Edel & Craig’s very excited 2 year old son Fionn who was dying to show off all his new toys that Santa had brought him! We carried out a little mini interview with Craig before we left which was a part of the same day edit that was played on the big screen before the first dance.
Then it was on to Edel’s house which included her five fabulous bridesmaids and plenty others. What was so apparent from Edel & Craig was that their special day wasn’t all about the bells and whistles , it was simply that they were getting married to each other. This is what made this wedding so special.
The heavens opened as Edel approached the church but nothing was going to rain on this bride’s parade as Edel was all smiles getting out of the car. After the ‘I Do’s’ it was onto the Holy Well in Carraroe for the photoshoot where we were yet again greeted by the rain but as the saying goes ‘good things come to those who wait’. Edel and Craig bravely persisted and it paid off ! When we arrived at the pier we were treated to the most beautiful soft winter sun, the autumnal colours in the background really were the icing on the cake and we got some fabulous Pictures and Video Clips.
The celebrations continued back at the beautiful Clayton Hotel in Sligo where we treated the newly weds and their guests to a ‘Same Day Edit’ that was played on the hotels projector. The Same Day Edit included highlights of the big day so far and an interview from both the Bride and Groom, lets just say their wasn’t a dry eye in the room afterwards!
Deja Groove had the dance floor hopping for the whole night and the Newlyweds rang in the New Year with their nearest and dearest by their side.
