Where to start!
So you’ve just ticked off a very important thing on your wedding to-list, you hired us! We are so happy you have chosen us to capture your big day. This little guide has been put together to give you an insight as to what you can expect from us between now and your wedding day.
We have captured too many weddings to count at this stage and funnily enough we can honestly still say that no two weddings are the same! That is why we don’t necessarily have one set way of capturing each wedding. Over the next few months, we want to get a real sense of the type of wedding you wish to have and how you want to spend your day.
It would be normal for you to presume that as your photographer & videographer, we are simply there to capture your big day. Trust me, we go way beyond that! We will play a really important role in managing your timeline from the second we arrive at the morning preparations and throughout the entire day. We will be guiding you through each stage of the day as it happens and giving you little directions here and there. You guys are the ones that have spent months if not years planning your wedding so when it comes to the day itself leave any stressing or planning to us! Between now and your wedding day we want you guys to know that we are on hand throughout any stage of planning your wedding. So to start things off we have put together a little recommended supplier guide for you. It can be really hard deciding on which wedding suppliers to go with and that is why we feel recommendations are so important. We have worked with these suppliers time and time again, we’ve seen their work and we’ve seen them in action so why not check them out for yourselves.
What happens next!
During your booking process, you would have received and filled out a questionnaire in which we gather information relating to your wedding. Roughly 6 weeks before your wedding date we will send you another questionnaire where we will gather information about your wedding suppliers. It is really helpful for us to know who we will be working alongside on the day of your wedding. We will also ask you if there are any surprises we should know about that may be happening on the wedding day, we want to be on the surprise not ruin it!!
We will also arrange a video call with you 2-3 weeks before your wedding date where we will walk you through the entire day and we will create a little timeline for your wedding day.
Over the next few months you can be thinking about photoshoot locations for your wedding day, we will discuss all of this in our call before your big day including our most commonly asked question.. ‘what happens if it rains!’. It is Ireland after all so we expect a little rain most days but there is always little ways of working around. Look at the picture to your left as an example, the rain had just started but the best thing to do is try and embrace it, have some fun and duck and dive when the real showers come! We like to make a plan for a sunny day and then a rainy day plan as a back up!
